We believe in a few things at the Rooster. We believe in lending a helping hand, being good to your neighbors and the power of community.

We wanted to find a meaningful way to give a little something back to you, our community, and to say “Thank you kindly” for all your support. With our customer card we happily buy you a drink on the house once in a while!

It also occurred to us that we could use this little card to brighten every day and support a cause very dear to our hearts. So every time you buy a drink, you will receive a stamp beside the name of an amazing LOCAL band or musician. In turn we want to inspire you to check them out.

Here are our fist 10 very talented musicians. Have a listen. Let them lift you up, inspire you and if you can, close these darn computers and GO SEE THEM LIVE!  We bet you will be changed :))

Fast Romantics

For Fast Romantics, it has been four years of adventuring their way through the backcountry of Canadian indie-rock, often attempting to straddle that hazy intersection at the corner of rock n' roll and pop. Now, with their second full-length album 'Afterlife Blues,' it sounds as though they have -- quite con!dently -- found their way home.

Fucked Up

While Canadian punk provocateurs Fucked Up play aggressive and incendiary music, that's hardly where their desire to stir up trouble begins and ends. The group strays far from the standard template of four-four punk stomp, incorporating extended instrumental workouts, unusual arrangements, and lengthy experimental passages along with the furious guitars and ranting vocals. While Fucked Up have paid homage on record to pioneering anarchist movements and creative and political troublemakers of all stripes, they've also flirted with fascist images and obscure mysticism in a bid to puzzle and confront their audiences. And despite their fondness for lengthy musical statements, Fucked Up waited until four years into their recording career to record a full-length album.

Devin Cuddy

"Most of all, it's fun. This is a good-time sound, a few laughs, lots of rollicking playing, great music to groove to. Cuddy defies the expectations of any new, young performer, and especially with that surname. But Cuddy fans, you'll love him still, just for completely different reasons.."
